Life after Graduation

We are now in St. George!!! Matt Graduated from Dental School on June 14 and life has been a whirlwind ever since, in a good way of course! We moved the day after graduation and got to St. George a couple days later. We are currently living in my parents second home and we feel like we are living in luxury! It is much bigger than any place Matt and I have lived since being married and we are loving having the extra space, yard, garage, huge shower, and awesome kitchen appliances. The weather is definitely hot here, but it hasn't bothered us one bit! We would gladly take any kind of sunny weather over Oregon rain. 

Matt is working at his Dad's Dental office and is getting more patients everyday. We are hoping things will really pick up once winter comes and all the "snowbirds" come down to St. George. He is loving being done with school and actually being able to be a real dentist.  

I am staying home with Hudson for now and still figuring out all the fun things to do in St. George. We go to the splash pad and pool a lot to keep cool. We have some great friends down here but miss our Dental school friends like CRAZY! I wish we could be graduated from school and still have all of them around. I am trying to find a part time Esthetician job but I haven't found anything I am too excited about yet. I think it would be fun to keep up with my skills and be able to make a little extra money at the same time.  

Hudson is getting busier and smarter everyday. He talks a lot and I feel like he has a new phrase everyday. He loves my parents house, I think there is just so much more room to run around. He is almost 2! I feel like that is a milestone birthday for some reason. It means more talking, getting him potty trained, and maybe even a big boy bed. 

Valentine's Day!

How cute is this little guy? Matt and I cannot get enough of him. Valentine's Day is definitely one of my favorite holidays so I could not resist getting a cute picture. I love the chocolate, flowers, surprises involved , and having two of the cutest Valentine's doesn't hurt.  

Hudson is growing up quick and changes everyday! He is talking a lot and is constantly moving from one activity from the next, which keeps me on my toes. By the end of the day we are both exhausted. I love being able to stay home and feel so lucky to get to see Hudson grow. 

Matt is in the final months of dental school (4 months left to be exact!!!). We are both excited/nervous/sad that this experience will be over. Definitely excited to be back in St. George and in the sunny weather, but very sad to be leaving our dear friends that we have made out here. Reunions will be necessary!

12 months!

Our sweet little bean is 1 year old. Cannot believe it! I never could have guessed how fun a little boy could be. Hudson is such a spunky little guy and has a huge personality. His Grandma and Aunts came out for his Birthday which was so fun. We had a monster party which turned out to be awesome. So glad family was able to join and help out so much. Throwing a party is hard work!

Lately Huddy's loves:

-to be chased!
-to talk on the phone and on facetime
-loves to go to the park and go down the slide
-loves to feed Cosmo his food....
-loves to clap and is getting good at waving Bye Bye
-got a basketball hoop for his birthday and would play with it all day if we let him
-still crazy about Mickey Mouse
-being done with his Bottles!
-bathtime is so fun and he is a big splasher
-runs to Matt when he gets home and gives him a big hug
-major snuggle bug when he is tired

11 months

This sweet little boy is too much fun! He lights up our day and is so busy.

-He walks EVERYWHERE! He loves to walk to the mailbox and chase Cosmo on the way.
-Loves to talk.
-Did awesome on our 10 hour car ride to San Francisco
-Such a little bookworm
-Thinks it is funny when I tell him "No" and cannot stop laughing.
-Only likes Matt to put him to sleep at night
-Has 6 teeth!
-Loves to be chased around the house.
-really good at saying "Hi" and "Hey".
-Getting good at high fives!

10 months

Hudson is growing so fast. Some new things this month:


-Took his first steps!
-Really good at saying "Hi" and "Dada"
-really fast at crawling.
-eating more and more really food and less bottles.
-awesome at sleeping through the night and taking 2 naps.
-Loves going on walks in his stroller.
-Loves when Dad gets home from school. He crawls as fast as he can to the door and pulls on his pants to be held. 
-Loves puppies. 
-very friendly and cute towards strangers.
-Loves to talk or yell constantly for fun. 
-Loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!

9 months old

How cute is this little bugger?? He is getting older and smarter by the day. Some of his new things:


-He has 2 teeth and is working on a few more.
-He can clap his hands.
-Loves to get into the dog toys and dog food....
-such a speedy crawler.
-Loves to climb stairs and loves to be chased as he goes up.
-Loves spoons and hitting them on anything nearby.
-eating more and more food and less bottles.
-Can hold himself up in a standing position alone for a few seconds.
-Loves to push his train around, he just wants to stand and walk all day.
-Had to get a convertible car seat. 
-likes to cross his feet anytime he is sitting relaxing. 
-very ticklish!
-had so much fun seeing his grandparents and aunts/uncles over spring break! Loved the attention and playing. 


We are back and kicking from Spring Break. It is Matt's 4th and FINAL year of Dental school!!! I have a feeling it is going to fly, but we will see. We are so excited to move back to St. George next year and get settled. (at least that is the plan...) We miss Utah like crazy.  Hudson keeps both of us busy and laughing constantly. He has a new fun thing or trick daily that keeps us entertained. Love my boys!!

8 months old

Wow, my little baby is 8 months?!?! He has become such a fun and crazy boy. He keeps Matt and I on our toes and we are always laughing at the new things that he does. He has the most fun little personality.

His things this month have been:

-crawling like a mad man. He gets into EVERYTHING...the dog food, cords, dog toys,shoes, shelves, you name it. We have done some major baby proofing.
-Loves Cosmo more each day. They are seriously best buddies and follow each other everywhere. So cute.
- Loves playing peek a boo.
-Gives "head bonks" and kisses
-So scared when we throw him up in the air, he pulls the cutest "terrified" face ever.
-Loves going to the zoo!
-Sleeps through the night, we are loving it!
-Pulls himself up to standing position.
-Loves talking to family on facetime on the computer every night.
-has his first tooth!!!
-Loves reading books. We read at least 10-15 a day.
-getting attached to his blankie, he snuggles it so night when he sleeps.
-Loves bananas, apples, and pears.
-had his first trip to the beach, loved the sand!
-tasted chocolate ice cream for the first time and was crazy about it.


This has been a fun month for us. Matt is still in clinic and loving it, and I have been loving that the sun is out more often. We have gone to the zoo a lot, gone on walks with friends, and played at the park. It is nice being able to get outside. We have a trip home coming up in a couple weeks and we have a trip to San Francisco in a few months. We are so excited to go and to take Hudson to his first baseball game! We are feeling like dental school is flying by and with us only having 1 year left (YAY!!!!!)  we are trying to enjoy Oregon as much as we can.
